Description:The purpose of this health disparities needs assessment was to identify needs and obstacles that contribute to health disparities of four target populations within Utah's public mental health and substance use treatment systems. Health disparities were defined as avoidable and unjust differences in mental health and substance abuse access and outcomes within these systems. The four target populations included in the study were: 1) Transition-Age Youth and Young Adults, ages 14 through 26 years old; 2) Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC); 3) LGBTQ+ folks; and 4) People with Developmental Disabilities.
